More loot!
6/28/2015

After yesterday’s post, I made a complete turn around and decided to continue with the So Cal Quilt Run.  I only had 12 shops left so DD and I ran out yesterday.  We were able to hit 8 of the 12 shops which was AWESOME!  Yesterday’s loot and last Sunday’s loot brings us to a total of +8 yards.  I bought a few notions as well but will have to take pictures of those another time.  All (except one) of the shops were pretty much like the other quilt shops that we’d been to previously and since these are in the San Diego area and much too far for me to just go to because, I wouldn’t make an special trip out to see.  The only shop I found I really liked and would come back to is Quilter’s Cottage in Fallbrook.  It’s about 15-20 minutes from Temecula.  The hubby and I go to Temecula on occasion so I can see myself driving the extra 20 minutes to Fallbrook.  There is a shop in Temecula that I could go to but the shop is primarily traditional fabrics featuring traditional quilts. Don’t get me wrong, they are beautiful quilts and I loved how they showcased their quilts but there was not enough of a fabric selection for me to warrant the trip.  I’d rather go the extra distance to Fallbrook.  It looks like a small shop from the outside but once you go in, it is much bigger with multiple rooms and a variety of selection.  Again – everyone was as nice as could be.  DD and I plan to hit up the last 4 shops today.  3 of these are in the desert so the plan is to leave early so it is not too hot.  Luckily the weather yesterday was nice hovering in the high 70’s.

  1. Well, I see by scrolling back that you added some lovely fabrics in that 8 yards! So how much was yours and how much your daughter’s? =) It’s always more fun to do a shop hop with someone than alone.
