Another couple of weeks has flown by since my last report. Last week was my baby boy’s 13th birthday party and it wasn’t much of a party but more of a hangout. He invited a few close friends to play video games with and that was all he wanted. We invited a few of our close friends to help us celebrate not having children in the house anymore. And celebrate the beginnings of the next phase… A house with only teenagers. They are fast growing up and soon will be heading off to lead their own lives. I’m sad and happy all at the same time. Anyway, by the time it was Sunday I was just exhausted and couldn’t do more than sit in front of the TV and binge watch Requiem. I don’t generally do scary but somehow I got sucked into this show on Netflix. I blame it on exhaustion that caused me not to think clearly. I did make it out to my LQS at some point this last 2 weeks and supported them a bit by purchasing 3 yards of fabric. I think it’s because my numbers were going in the right direction that I had to add to it again to bring it back to the negative. /sigh Oh well. I will do better next time.
The fabric stash:
- Used since last time: 0 yards
- Used year to date: 9.25 yards
- Added since last time: 3 yards
- Added year to Date: 11.5 yards
- Net added for 2018: 2.25 yards
For yarn: I am still almost done with Kayla’s Weasley sweater and I hope that it will be done soon so I can add some major numbers to the “used” bit. I’m about to make the same thing for Jacob but in blue and silver. And my order came in last week. In addition, I’ve got 2 pairs of socks finished and I’m almost done with 1 more.
The yarn stash:
- Used since last time: 2 skeins
- Used year to date: 7 skeins
- Added since last time: 10 skeins
- Added year to date: 24 skeins
- Net ADDED for 2018: 17 skein
Slow Stitching Sunday
Here is what it looked like last time:
And here’s what it looks like now:
It’s done. Now I have to get Block 9 started. I already pulled it out of that bin and it’s sitting in it’s bag waiting for me to give it some love and attention. 🙂

Congrats on finishing a block!
Thanks!
I’m yrying to avoid stsrting Requiem!! I am not doing very well on my use it up! Adding much more than using.
I was disappointed with how Requiem ended but that might just be me.
I have never done the fabric in/out thing. My excuse is that I can’t figure out how to count what I use. The reality is that I probably don’t want to know. Really nice finished block.
Thanks! 🙂
Great little blue flower block! Great to get in some hand stitching time.
Thank you! 🙂
Your Rainbow Garden block is beautiful. I’m glad to see you still doing those. Weasley sweater sounds like Harry Potter, so I must not let my son hear those words! I don’t knit.
Thank you! 🙂
