Gratitude Diaries: Days 38

I am grateful for…

… a long break from the office.  I’ll be spending most of my time doing creative stuff.  I’ll post more about what I’ll be doing over the next few days. It feels like I haven’t been working a lot but in reality, I generally only count billable hours.  I don’t generally count non-billable hours.  This is a big problem because it feels like I don’t work much but I do – a lot.  Too much sometimes.  I know I need to recognize the non-billable hours but I tend to forget about them.  So, over the next few weeks I will be entering all those hours on my tracker.  That way I don’t feel guilty about leaving the office at 2.

… resisting going to the quilt shop today to get fabric for Bonnie Hunters mystery quilt.  I do not want to invest too much into it in case I don’t like it.  But I want to play along.  I know I’ve got something in my stash to at least start playing… so I’ll be doing that on Friday for #BFSI

… not having to do too much tomorrow like many other people in the US.  The family and I will be getting up at a leisurely time (whenever we get up).  We will have sticky buns (and coffee for the me and the hubby) for breakfast.  Stick the turkey in the oven, fix the stuffing, the gravy, and whatever else I bought yesterday.  Once everything is complete, then we’ll be having an early or late lunch.  We invited one of our friends over who we heard was planning on spending the day at home alone (probably playing a video game).  Hopefully he comes over.  Then I’ll be messing around in my sewing room doing stuff until the hubby decides he wants to go to his friends place for dinner.  At that point, we’ll all get ready and leave for a Pilipino Thanksgiving that may or may not have Turkey.  ;0  I think they will and if they don’t, that’s okay because I would have had turkey at home.

Have a good evening!
