Day 39 was Thanksgiving so that entire post was a gratitude diary. Today is for day 40 and 41.
I am grateful for…
… yoga. I went yesterday and today. During a bit of meditation, an idea of a long term plan to a problem I’ve been mulling over came to me. I don’t know if it will work, but I’ll start on it and we’ll see where it takes me. I’m excited and looking forward to its implementation.
… The girl went to her first cheer party. It was a chance for the girls to get to know each other and bond. I was nervous for her. I could sense she was worried too. Her close cheer friends weren’t going for some reason so while she knew all the girls attending, she wasn’t really close to them. And I had to make corn for her to bring to the party. It was potluck. I don’t really cook around here. So I was nervous about making it. I think it turned out pretty well. I guess you can’t really mess it up. Just stick a whole lot of butter, some salt, a little pepper and it is good to go. Anyway, she had a great time. She was able to get know some of the older girls better. She’s part of the freshman squad so she didn’t know the older girls as well as the freshman girls. I’m so grateful she is so much better at social functions at her age than I was at her age. 🙂
… One more day until it is time to work. I can spend another day doing what I want: yoga, study, quilt… 🙂
… I don’t know what it is about Thanksgiving but I usually get around to working on my goals during this break. This year was no exception. I’ve been working on some work goals, personal goals, quilt/hobby goals, etc. They’re almost ready to be finalized. I’ll post the quilty/hobby ones as soon as they are. I’ll need to figure out how I’m going to keep my work and personal goals front and center. I review the quilty/hobby ones twice a month so I make a lot of progress on them. I don’t review my work and personal ones as often.
Have a good evening!
I’m glad things worked out well for the cheer meeting. At that age, everything can be glorious or an unmitigated disaster and I don’t remember there being a lot in between! I’m glad it’s been such a productive break for you, and I hope your solution works perfectly!
