Okay. I finished the socks but I ended up making them shortie socks and I stopped doing the pattern after my last post. I wasn’t enjoying it. I am sure I misunderstood the pattern and messed up somewhere and I wasn’t loving it enough to figure out where I messed up. So I just started doing vanilla socks and bound off when I felt it was enough.

Even though the sock is done I’m using the yarn to make another set of fingerless mitts. as I said in my last knitting update I really need to do #6 and 7 on my list so I can start to do some real joyous knitting. But I haven’t had a chance to and my next joyous knitting is finishing a skein of yarn. J hope to do that with the left over yarn I used on these socks.

Here’s my current Knitting WIP to do list:

1. finish burying the ends of the last fingerless mitten – Done 9/2025
2. Take a picture of my GardenGate sweater. Done 10/2025
3. finish repairing the sock that Willow chewed up – Done 9/2025
4. Add heels to 2 sock tubes- DONE 9/2025
5. 3 kitted sock projects in whatever order I feel like knitting them in
   • St. Mungo’s – started 10/2025… finished 11/11- I still need to weave in the ends.
   • Fingerless Mitts #2- started 11/11/2025
6. go through the 2 bins of yarn projects. From memory, the yarn is set aside but some may have a pattern name with it, but most probably do not. I doubt any of them have actual patterns with the project unless I bought the project kit as it was.
7. LONG TERM: go through my stash. give away what I no longer want to knit and re-stash what I want to keep
