Update: gave this to one of my aunties for Christmas 2019. Each auntie picked a number out of a hat. The first one picked the quilt they wanted, The second one picked the quilt they wanted. and the third one got the one left.  I don’t remember who came up with this quilt.  Either Auntie Bebe, Auntie Minnie, or Auntie Josie.

I looked on Sandy’s page and I didn’t see a single page with all the Scrapitude instructions.  It’s probably because it will be moving at some point.  For myself, I go back and forth and I find it easier if I can link to it.  (I also have a pdf version for the moment in time when the links are no longer available and I may possibly still be working on the project. ;0)

I hope she doesn’t mind.  This is really for me.  At the moment I do not get a ton of visitors so I think it’s okay.  But if it starts skyrocketing and everyone is going to this page, I’ll take it down because that will make me uncomfortable.

Update 01/13/15: Charlotte has her own blog now and is posting the instructions on her site.  I’ll not update any more instructions on here but will just post pictures as I finish stuff.

Cutting Instructions

Background Story:

I listen to the quilting podcasts while I’m quilting between audible books and I love hearing about their quilting and their personal stories.  Earlier this year, I think, Sandy at Quilting For the Rest of Us and her guildmate, Charlotte, hosted the first Scrapitude.  I wasn’t able to join what with my current quilt load and moving back to Los Angeles.  I wanted to but very smartly told myself that I had too much on my plate and couldn’t play with everyone at that time.  I was very jealous of everything I was hearing on the podcasts, the twilters, and the revealing posts.  The final quilts were beautiful … so when Sandy announced Scrapitude 2015 and gave us 4 months with the cutting instructions, I knew I just had to add it onto my list.

Scrapitude was quilted with Superior’s bottom line in the bobbin and Aurifil 50w #2326 on the top.  This is my first quilt using Winline’s 100% Bamboo Batting.
