Happy Cinco de Mayo! How do you plan to celebrate? I will be sitting at my desk working but tonight… Oh the possibilities! ;0
For BOM Away Monday, here is May’s block of the mystery BOM Tell It To The Stars! hosted by Judy Laquidara of Patchwork Times. It’s been the one BOM I’ve been able to stay caught up with from month to month.
In regards to the other current BOMs I’m working on
Moon Glow – I’ve got this month’s kit and since I didn’t make it to the quilt shop this weekend for Easy Street’s binding, I may just take this out and work on it a little bit each day. Maybe by the end of the week I’ll have it done.
Hampton Ridge – I’ve got two kits waiting for me to tackle. I have a quilt guild workshop on Saturday and Sunday is Mother’s Day. I would like to sit around and play with my sewing machine but my Momma might not be thrilled with this. On the other hand, she doesn’t want to go out either. So I’m playing Sunday by ear. For myself, I plan to take her and the girl to high tea at a local tea shop here on Wednesday. Friday evening I want to have dinner somewhere – still looking into where but for dessert, I think we’ll trek it over to San Francisco and check out the bread pudding place my cousin has been raving about. All that to say – I want to get started on Hampton Ridge on Sunday but it will depend on what the Momma ends up wanting to do.
Those are the top three BOMs, I’ve got A Rainbow Garden too but that’s just way behind and I haven’t worked on it since the cheer season ended. I used to work on it diligently on the days I took the girl to cheer practice. Now that I’m not sitting around for 3 hours with just hand work, I’m playing with the sewing machine instead. 🙂 The mood will hit me again one day. Maybe after Raining Cats and Dogs is complete. I can only do one hand project at a time.
