For BOM Away Monday,
I’m now caught up with two BOMs… Tell It To The Stars and Moon Glow. Now the only one I’ve got to get caught up on is Hampton Ridge. I do have 2 other BOMs that I’ve been accumulating – the wool project, Rainbow Garden and the foundation piecing project – Lucky Stars. I’ve given up on those two… The Rainbow Garden is going to be a slow project that I will get back to once I”m done piecing Raining Cats and Dogs. I get the patterns for Lucky Stars each month and once Moon glow is complete, that will be the next foundation piecing project. So for Hampton Ridge I’m about 3 kits behind: #8, #9, and #10. I pulled #8 out and have started working on the borders. I think I’m about pooped on kits right now so I’ve put it away and I’ve still got a few hours I can play. I was really accomplished this weekend, not only did I get all this done, but I was able to practice my FMQ (one of my quilty resolutions) and piece the background for block 7 of Raining Cats and Dogs. So, what’s next… well the last thing on my quilty resolutions is to take a kit that I have and start playing with it. This resolution is giving me difficulty. I want to do it, but I really do not have any more space to put another open project. Instead, I’m looking at my current WIPs and I want to get going on those. Yes, I think I will open up my second drawer, the one below my BOMs and see what I’ve got hidden there to take the edge off. 🙂

For Design Wall Monday…
Okay, still no design wall… but I’m playing with an idea to put up a display piece along our hallway of my current blocks. I’m running out of space for the finished blocks of Moon Glow and Hampton Ridge and thought that it would be cool to have one of those design walls grace my hallway and I can put the blocks there until I’m ready to put the top together. The more I write about it, the more I’m liking the idea…
