They have been trimmed and blanket stitched! I’ve decided to deviate from my original plan. Well not so much my plan but from the original instructions. I’m supposed to add little loops to the top of these ornaments so I can hang them from a Christmas tree or any place. But I don’t really decorate much for Christmas and I especially don’t always have a tree. Sometimes I do but often I don’t mainly because my family are generally not home for Christmas. We make the trek to my mom’s house and stay with her for a week.

Every time I go to Temecula for one of my retreats I have been going to a quilt shop called Sew Treasured. It used to be Primitive Gatherings and if you are familiar with Primitive Gatherings you know the aesthetics I’m referring to. A lot of wool and coziness. Anyway, lately I’ve been drawn to their wool mats that they display and I’ve decided to buy black wool and place these ornaments on top in an oval shape. I plan to play with adding stitches to connect all the ornaments in a playful and fun manner.

This has gone to the next step and I have such joy in that.
