Since I haven’t posted regularly you may need some reminding as to what this was. It was my start in 2024 and one of my LQS, Cotton and Chocolate in Thousand Oaks, was doing the Riley Blake Door Banner of the month.

These are all just the tops finished and still need to be quilted. :

As you can see I did not sew them in order. I got behind almost immediately and chose to sew whatever the current banner of the month was. So when I finished the first one (April) last year, the current banner was June, and then July, so I skipped May. Then life happened and I got started on Decembers when my crazy traveling life began. I finished it when I returned in January by having all my pieces by my sewing machine and doing a step at a time before bedtime. It was a life saver since everything was a mess around me but I only had time and energy to do so much clearing and fixing but I still needed a little bit of sewing to stay connected with my crafty life.

Just 6 left and I will keep plugging away. They all have so many pieces that it takes a whole day and a half to cut and sew one banner. That’s too much of my retreat time. So I have found I like it better to cut when at a retreat and then taking them home to sew.
