Quilt Retreat #notsure 2025

I went to Big Bear for my Cross stitch retreat and soon I’ll be attending my quilt guild’s mini retreat. Our mini retreats are at a local quilt shop and we go home to sleep in our own beds each night.

It helps for me to have a project plan so I get the things I want done.

#1- cut 2 door banner kits. These kits take forever to cut and with my Great Move it’s been difficult to do any kind of cutting. With it being cut I can sew easier at home.

#2 – Gamer project bag. I need to cut the binding to cover the raw edges inside the bag as well as top stitch the edges to give it more definition. I’m also not liking the floppiness of it since it’s so big. I’m considering cutting an old cutting mat and wrapping fabric around it to give it more sturdiness. I’m also thinking of adding elastic or something to the mat so I can hold my tablet, box of threads and bags of extra threads. That way everything is in one place.

#3 – Christmas in Paris quilt – I just need to get the final border on. But again I need to cut big pieces and focus as I’ll be mitering that border. But that’s the last border so this will be done.

#4 – 2023 Saturday Sampler from QP. I haven’t worked on this in a little bit so I’m not sure where I’m at. I’m still working on some blocks but I’m nearing the end. So my plan is to get the next month’s done.

#5 – If I’m lucky I hope to be able to do some piecing on my Tula Pink Butterfly 2.0. or at the very least put the blocks I’ve got done onto a design wall and take pictures.

And that’s it.
