During the great move all my projects got pulled out and laid haphazardly all over my living and family rooms. And I found myself at my most recent mini retreat with a little opening to fill a project in. I could have picked one of the many projects listed on my WIP list ( which only contains projects from 2020 on and nothing prior to and tucked away in the corners of my sewing room). Well the more recent projects are somewhere at the bottom of the piles because they got pulled out first during the great move and the oldest unaccounted for WIPs were more accessible. And I pulled out what is possibly my oldest WIP now.

I was pleasantly surprised to find how organized everything was.

It seems most of the blocks that did not incorporate some kind of applique were already done. And for the applique a variety of methods were used. I assume it’s based on where I was when I started and what materials I had and what I felt like doing. Some were machine stitched blanket stitch and most were simply needle turn.

It was hard getting back into the needleturn and probably why I had stopped at this particular block. If I was to prep this today I probably would have chosen to do the black and green bats differently.
