Our guild’s big Temecula retreat is done but next is the private retreat we call the Sew Awesome Gals retreat. My group was invited a few years ago to join and we try to come each year. And so we are heading back to Temecula for their retreat. I’ve been reviewing my knitting WIPs and I’ll be posting about that in a few weeks but one of my to do knitting tasks is to take a picture of my long finished GardenGate sweater. Thinking back, I really should have brought it with me to Temecula with my Guild so I could have some beautiful scenery in my backdrop. But I didn’t. And I’m hoping that with this post, I’ll remember to bring my Garden Gate sweater to take fashion pictures.
And here’s my project plan.
#1- cut 1 door banner kit – I still have the last set of the January banner to cut and plan to do that at this retreat.
- I will also bring the August banner so I can spend some time appliquéing the leaves and stem down.
#2 – 2023 Saturday Sampler from QP. – finish Month 12
As a reminder, Month 12 has two different blocks. At the SFVQA Temecula retreat, I did the other block which is called ‘Roman Stripe’ and I made 16 of them. But I still need to make the 8 pointed star that I was too distracted to make. I hope since I’m not part of leadership at this event, the distraction levels will be at a minimum.
#3 – William Morris BOM – The next blocks to make are the June and July blocks.
#4 – Tula Pink Butterfly 2.0 – Finish the 4th set of blocks – Stripes and update my post with the names of the blocks
#5- Spooky Halloween – I need to prep Row 2, block 3 so I can applique them. I will need to remember to bring a light box with me.
I’m going to need to plan for more projects for this retreat.
#6- I have signed up for the 250 Jane Austen quilt a long with my LQS Quilty Pleasures in Simi and I should have it with me for this retreat.
#7- Tuella and Friends. This is a long time WIP that I took out of my retreat suitcase for reasons I can’t remember. I have to look at it before the retreat and make sure I bring everything I need for the block I plan to work on.
