I got a lot done at the last stitcher retreat. I always love this project when I’m working on it.

And here’s my update on my MFE

Happy Stitching!

For those who do not remember… this was the Modern Folk Embroidery (MFE) mystery Stitch a long (SAL) from 2023.

My project plan for this retreat was originally posted here.
And here’s what I got done from my project plan:
Thursday – I left my house a couple of hours after I wanted to but I got to Yucaipa at about 4 so it wasn’t too bad. After settling in I was able to get some stitches in Gamer.
My project for the day is Gamer:

Friday – It was cooler this year and on Friday morning it was overcast. I didn’t walk or do anything but sit in my corner and played with my projects. I did take a nap during the day and it was so luxurious.
Project of the day: MFE 2023

I also brought my daily projects with me and hoped to spend 15 minutes a day on them.
My knitting: By the time I got to this retreat my fingerless mitts that were on the project plan was complete and I picked up my current new knitting WIP instead: St. Mungo’s

“Preamble”

I ended up not taking ‘Spooky Halloween” with me. By the time the retreat was going I had finished the block I was working on. I intended to prep the next block but I ran out of time. So I left it at home.

Saturday –
Project for the day: Titania

Sunday: day to go home.
Project of the day: Blossoms

It was a lovely retreat and I got to hang out with my stitchy friends. Last time I saw them was last February for our Barry Manilow stitchy weekend. They’re planning another trip Feb 2026 but I can’t commit to anything in 2026 right now. I know I will have a serious case of FOMO. I have my guild mini retreat that weekend.

Keep stitching,
Melanie

The bottom of that diagonal is the bottom of this page and is the bottom of this row! Im also stitching more right now so things are going faster. It helps to have a clear path to my stitching seat.

I went to Sedona, AZ for a bit of a break and the great thing about my MFE SAL 2023 is that I can easily take it with me on trips.

And here’s my update on my MFE

I was able to put 4-500 stitches and finish the page. I have 2 more months worth of clues which equals 2 pages.
Happy Stitching!

The last time I wrote about this project was when I started it in May 2021. 4 years later and this is still a WIP
This has been a retreat project for a long time so progress is slow. But I’m much further along than I was in 2021.

Here is what it will grow up to be:
I’m using the called for silks on 32 count linen. I bought the kit from 123stitch.com.

I searched through old posts and I think the last time I posted my progress was Feb. 2024!
Which I realize is over a year ago and I’m not much further along.

And here’s my update on my MFE
