WIP List – Q1 2025

Okay… now that I’ve started posting a bit more regularly I’m posting this list again. It helps me keep all my projects somewhat organized. I need to update this a bit and I’ll make some changes from the past. But there are some changes I need to make. Over time, this list became cumbersome and not fun to review over and over again.

I liked putting my projects in order from oldest to more recent and I also liked seeing them grouped in the years they were started. But I found that I didn’t work on them in that order and by the time I got to the middle I would lose interest. and disappointed when I started new things rather than work on some of my older WIPs…

I’ve redone this list so that it is in order of what I’m working on.

1. Christmas in Paris

3/2025 – inner top is done
  • started a long time ago prior to 2022 and I’m moving it along. I finished the inner top and I’m working on the borders. Per a previous post, I decided not to do the borders that is in the pattern.

2. Tender Whispers of the heart – 2025

3. William Morris QE BOM – 2025

February Block (month 1)

4. Riley Blake Door Banner of the Month – 2024

may door banner
  • only 6 banners left. I plan to sew all the tops first and then go back and quilt them.

5. Quilty Pleasures 2023 Saturday Sampler

6. Tula Pink’s Butterfly 2.0 – I finally broke open this kit and started in 2023… I only work on this at retreats so it’s been slow. but I’m now working on the second set of blocks.

I need to take pictures of the blocks I’ve finished.

the items below haven’t been worked on in the last year…

1. Tuella and Friends – 2021

2. Judy Neimeyer’s Double Wedding Ring – started Jan. 2020

Double Wedding Ring (picture is not my quilt) – started in Jan 2020

2022 New Starts

3. Ornaments – I started this in December 2021 but I’ve been stitching diligently on this throughout 2022. All of the ornaments are finished and yet I wasn’t excited about the finished products. I really had one last step to do and that was to attach a piece of thread to make a hook so I could hang these ornaments on a tree or other place. However I rarely have a tree at Christmas as I usually go home to my mom’s house. As such, I was inspired to make a little table mat. I’m slowly making my way attaching each ornament to the black wool. When they are attached, the next step is to do some ornamental stitches.

4. Prairie something…. I haven’t started this really. I bought it and attended the class at Quilt Emporium and other projects jumped in line. This is not my product but a picture of the instructors and a reminder of the cuteness of it.

5. Mountain Mist: Apple Blossom (November 2022)

I am much further along on this but I have to take a more recent picture. I haven’t yet completed this first block so not that much futher along.
