My guild’s annual quilt retreat at the relaxing and calm Vina de Lestonnac in Temecula is coming up in a few weeks and I’m excited for this event. It’s the 4th year and we’re busting at the seams with 32 attendees. Here’s my project plan for this event. I have to be careful because unlike mini retreats I will not be able to get anything from the house if I forget anything.

#1- cut 1 door banner kit – At the last retreat, I cut half of the January door banner. I didn’t want to spend all day cutting. At that time I already had 2 door banners cut and ready to go and 1 door banner I was working on. So the plan at this retreat is to cut the rest of it.

#2 – 2023 Saturday Sampler from QP. – do Month 12

#3 – William Morris BOM – I will have the next block by the time this retreat happens.

#4 – Tula Pink Butterfly 2.0 – Finish the 4th set of blocks – Stripes and update my post with the names of the blocks

#5- Spooky Halloween – continue with this block. I’ll need to bring DMC 310 (black) and DMC 3347 (chartreuse) to finish the embroidery. I also want to take a picture of all the blocks. I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten them all so I may not need to but I want to get them all on a post somewhere.

#6 – The apron that’s been at the back of my mind for at least a year.

I need to bring a few extra projects just in case I don’t feel like working on one of these. I’ve only got 5 planned projects and lately, on the last day of my retreats I end up changing my plans to work on something else I feel is more fun for me.

#8- Guilds quilt along … maybe do some blocks?

#7- Door banner to sew.

#9- A block for the Guild’s opportunity quilt
