Block 5 was pretty easy to make even though my brain was still a bit woozy from being sick a few days prior. The center was not challenging but the piece of fabric the shop included only gave you the ability to have a different center. But because I wanted to be different than the rest of the quilt along participants I bought more fabric so I could use the center motif you see in this picture. I needed to fussy cut to get those birds right where I wanted.

The other place I modified a bit was the triangles with some color next to the blue border of the center. The were to be cut at 2-7/8” squares and then cut on the diagonal. Well I cut it slightly bigger at 3” squares and then on the diagonal. After putting that part together I trimmed it slightly so I could piece it together and keep those points.
