Stash Report – Week 2, 2014

Being in the black was short-lived!  I ended up deciding to play with Judy’s year-long mystery quilt – Tell It To The Stars and purchased the fabric provided by Vicki Welsh.  So I’ve got 14 big whopping yards to add! But it is for a project and I’m happy to say that I finished the first clue yesterday.  I’ll post about it with pictures in a bit but I wanted to get my stash report posted first thing this morning.  I did get a lot of work done on some of my BOMs – here’s a sneak peek…

I’m not really happy with the first block for Moon Glow.  I got confused with the instructions and messed up big time.  I’ve got a huge poof in the middle of this star and I’m not sure what I’m going to do about – keep it as a reminder of lessons learned or if I want to purchase the fabric and do it over again.

  1. Love that Hampton Ridge block! I’m wondering if there’s a way to open that center and restitch so there’s not so much poof? What happens if you steam it, or even wash it? I like the block, but if I’d made it, that would be it, wouldn’t be doing it twice. LOL

  2. Can you cut out the center of you poofy block and applique a piece over it? Love the colors in it. Your first block is great. You will love working with Vicki’s fabrics.
