Happy Wednesday!
I woke up way too early at 2:30am. And I couldn’t go back to sleep so I used the found time to work on the first block for Have yourself a quilty little Christmas! As fiddly as this block is, I actually enjoyed making them and watching the seems come together so nicely. I admit I over-pinned each part. I waited for the sun to come out so I can take a good picture and post my progress for you. It’s still not finished yet as I’ve got sashing and stuff to add before I can move on but I should get that done pretty quickly.
I do have a meeting tonight for one of the committees I’m in with my quilt guild. We’re having a Sewing Room Tour at 7 homes throughout the San Fernando Valley on Sunday. I’m excited to see the homes but I can’t wait for this to be done. Now that the hubby is working, I have had to seriously take a look at all my commitments and reevaluate my involvement. As much as I enjoyed being a part of the committee, I will not be able to do any more at this time. I will still be part of the guild and take part in the regular member activities. I hope that as I get used to my new normal I’ll be able to do something later.

I love the idea of a tour of sewing room tour in guild members home! And good for you for setting time boundaries for your involvement. You need that time to sew and create!!
Thanks Laura! I’m excited to go on the tour.
The tour sounds great! Life is all about choices, isn’t it? There’s always a good, better, best choice that has to be made. Love your little blocks, though sewing at that time of morning is not something I’m likely to ever do again. =)
Thanks Susan. 🙂
