January 2023 – mid month update

I completed what I set out to do for Plum Fusion (#2 on this list) and made significant progress on #1. Road (#5) is coming up this week and I think all is ready. I should make progress on #3 (Dresden) and #6 (Mountain Mist) the latter part of the month. I hope I’m able to get the rest of this list done as well. Or at least get it out and look at it.

Here are my original goals for January –

#1 – Disappearing 9 Patch is under my needle right now. I would like to finish finish finish this quilt this month.

UPDATE – this is fully quilted and I just need to do the rest of it – binding, label, picture and post.

#2 Plum Fusion – one of our Local shops Saturday Sampler. – I would like to do page 11 and page 12. I believe these are just one block a piece so not too difficult.

Update: Both page 11 and 12 are complete

#3 – Linda Ballard’s Dresden from the guild’s February 2022 workshop. – Finish this top

#4 – New saturday sampler – The Quilty Pleasure Saturday Sampler starts this month. I’d like to stay on schedule and keep up with it so I’d like to get the first month’s tasks done for the QP Saturday Sampler.

#5 – the road classes – be prepared to learn, do and finish the projects.

#6 – Mountain Mist – cut fabric for 1 block and start…

#7 – my bag – By Annie’s Everything in its Place

– the picture of the bag on the kit I have

#8 – my peasant top

Happy quilting!

Melanie
