I finally finished this quilt!
As you can see I changed out the final borders and I mitered them. After I had put the first border on I realized that I should have sewed the two borders together first. Then attach them to the quilt and miter them. I had forgotten that part of the process and one of my quilt buddies nicely said they would have done it the way I didn’t and I realized I had done it wrong. Not wrong per se, it just would have been easier to do it that way. I wasn’t sure if I had enough of either fabric and it had been so long since I mitered, I felt doing it the way I did was a good way to try it out to make sure it worked. 🙂
It doesn’t matter but I like the mitered borders so much better than the original design.
