Another local mini retreat is coming up and so my head is full of plans. But I’ve got to get these documented so I remember the things I want to do.

#1- cut 1 door banner kits. – I currently have 2 already cut and I’m working on the applique on one. Part of the issue is that I’m hand appliquéing it so it’s taken a bit of time. But it doesn’t hurt to just cut one so I can get them ready to be sewn. It is hard to cut right now as I work through the Great Move so taking the time to cut during the retreat helps me have projects ready to sew at home.

#2 – Gamer project bag. Continue binding the innards. I really hope I get these done at home before the retreat. I don’t like working on it at the retreat for some reason. But with the great move it’s pretty impossible right now.

#3 – 2023 Saturday Sampler from our LQS Quilty Pleasures in Simi Valley. I haven’t worked on this in a little bit so I’m not sure where I’m at. I’m still working on some blocks but I’m nearing the end. So my plan is to open it up, see where I’m at and do whichever month is next.

#4 – If I’m lucky I hope to be able to do some piecing on my Tula Pink Butterfly 2.0. or at the very least put the blocks I’ve got done onto a design wall and take pictures.

#5 – I have an old Americana quilt kit I bought in Texas in 2012. I didn’t open it until a year or so ago when it came up the queue. I believe it’s my last kit of that era. Anyway it wasn’t until I opened it that I discovered the pattern was not included with the kit! The pattern was part of a magazine and I’ve looked all over and have not been able to find it online. So I have the cutting instructions and I’m trying to piece them together based on that and the picture but it’s not been easy. I’ll continue to try but I’m considering giving this kit all cut up to the Vets group in my guild. Hopefully they can figure it out.

Last retreat I did blocks for my William Morris BOM. This retreat comes up before the next block is released so I probably won’t have another to put together.

#6 – I really want to put together an apron. I’ve been wanting to for a long time and one of my friends got hers done last year. If I can get my Gamer project bag done, maybe I’ll spend some time on this apron.
