I first posted about this new start here and here and here and here and update #4 and update #5. I guess this is no longer a new start as it’s already December and the BOM started in February.

I prepped the August block… but I’ve gotten to the part that is hand work and I didn’t want to spend all of my crafting time at the mini retreat on hand work. I added this to my list of quilty things to do at home.

And because it only took a bit of time and I didn’t bring all my projects to the retreat with me I was also able to start on the September block in an effort to catch up. But, again, I got the block prepped but then got to the part where hand work was required. Everything’s basted down and prepped.
Both the August and September blocks are done using the reverse applique method. I did try to do the handwork for August but my hands and my eyes were not working right so I put it aside for another day.
I enjoyed working on these two blocks. They were both a little different from other things I’m working on so I used my brain a little differently and made videos to help my friends who are also working on this project.

Keep on quilting!
