Happy National Quilt Day!
Okay, I’m not sure when it actually is. Whether it’s today or yesterday or Friday. All I know is that I went to my sew in yesterday and I took advantage of 40% off a single cut of fabric. And I checked out the sale room and bought additional fabric for 50% off. So I added fabric!
I got 2.5 yards of the fabric on the left. Since I’ve got to make 31 strips for SFVQA strip club, I’ll need that much. Thank goodness I was able to find a good yellow in the sale room! I did check my stash first and didn’t find nearly enough of 1 yellow. The other 2 I got 1 yard each. 🙂 I’m doing a happy dance. I really wanted to buy more but I restrained myself. I knew I was on a budget AND I forgot a box of sewing stuff for my sew in so I had to buy stuff (or go home and get it). I bought it and decided that those items will stay in my sew in/workshop travel bag for next time. And on to the numbers…
For the fabric stash:
nothing used yet. Scrapitude is really almost done. The binding is half way done. It’s on the quilt, I just need to hand stitch it to the back. I’m so happy to still be in the back! I’m excited to see how far I can stay in the black.
