2016 Goals – July

My OMG goal for July is to finish Moon Glow.  I have 2 borders left to quilt, I have to bind it, and the label it.

#1 – Get 6 quilts done in 2016

Quilt #1  – Tell It To The Stars – finished 2/20/2016

Quilt #2 – Scrapitude,2015 ==> finished 4/3/2016

Quilt #3 – Moon Glow – My goal for July is to finish quilting Moon Glow.  I need to finish quilting the last 2 borders, bind and label it.

Quilt #4 – Hampton Ridge – this is in queue to be quilted.  For July, I want to get the back and label ready for it.

Quilt #5 – Raining Cats and Dogs – top was finished on 4/9/2016.  My goal for July is to hand quilt 3-4 times each week.  I’m working on the cream colored quilting thread and hopefully I will be done with all of the outlining by the end of July.  I’m about a third through.

Quilt #6 – Celtic Solstice – continue to piece bits as leaders/enders.

Quilt #7  – Missing Ivy – finish step 11 which is to piece the inner quilt together.

Quilt #7 – LQS 2012 BOM “Provence” – finish last block and do the next step of the alternating blocks.

#2 – Continue to count my stash, with a true effort to not add fabric on a whim.

Keep counting and doing a great job staying in the black.  I need to update the stash numbers with most recent travel purchases.

#3 – Create a hobby budget a stick to it!

My budget for the year was $3,000 and I surpassed it.  I’ve adjusted this goal to simply continue tracking how much I spend on my hobbies.  I need to update the spent numbers with my recent travel purchases.

==> Current crafty spending for 2016 as of 5/31/16 is $3297.01.

#4 – Knit weekly

My goal for July is to finish the purple socks I started.

#5 – Cross Stitch weekly

Welcome project Cross Stitch 6/16/2016

My goal is to finish the Welcome project in June.  I need to purchase more floss in order to do so.

#6 – Scrapbook

I haven’t done anything for this.  It’s at the bottom of my priority list so… I find that everything else is taking up my crafty time.  I hope that as the months continue my work life is less consuming and I can spend a few extra hours on my crafty stuff. And then be able to spend some time on scrapbooking! 🙂

… I’m thinking I may have to take this off my list.  I never seem to make this a priority.  It’s primarily because it’s hard to get to my stuff, pull it out and then put it away.  It makes me sad to write this so maybe I won’t.

Here’s a link to my original 2016 Goals.

Here’s to a great year!
