Happy Wednesday!
I’ve been working on the quilting of Moon Glow since that is now my One Monthly Goal. But the pictures always look the same with the quilt on the frame. So… here’s where I’m at with the block I’m working on for Provence. Once this is done, I’ll have 1 block left and a bunch of alternating blocks to put together. 🙂

Happy Wednesday!
Okay. not the best applique for the bat. But it’s finished and I’m moving on to the next block. I want to get row 1 done before I get the packet for row 2. I only have a week to do that. I’m not going to hold my breath but I’m going to try to get as much done as possible. To do this, I’ve decided to group as much of the work as possible. That means working on all the blocks at the same time. The first thing I did was to cut all the background fabric for all the blocks. The next thing I have to do is piece them all together. I forgot that there are 5 blocks for each row so I only have all the fabric cut for the first 4 blocks. I’ll finish cutting the fabric for the 5th block tomorrow. Then I’ll work on piecing the backgrounds together. Block 3 and 5 are entirely pieced so they will be done at that time. Here’s each step laid out.

I’m still quilting Raining Cats and Dogs on my domestic.
I joined a new project at my LQS. Rather than a BOM, it’s a ROM… Row of the Month! and it’s called Spooky Halloween and it’s a 6 month project. I’ve been meaning to do a Halloween quilt and I’m excited to actually add this to my project list. 🙂

Happy Wednesday!
I finished machine quilting the top row of Raining Cats and Dogs on my domestic. Next step is to unbaste, smooth out the second pucker, pin and quilt the second row. I’m pretty sure my quilt frame is the culprit. Now that I’ve quilted a few quilts on it, I can find the rough spots on the frame where my midarm has difficulty moving. It kind of sticks in certain areas. Of course, I could have loaded the quilt more carefully too. Once I get all the machine quilting done, I plan to hand quilt within each block.
Because of all the problems I’ve had quilting with the Bailey (my midarm), I’m having second thoughts about quilting Moon Glow on in. Once I get into the hand quilting step of Raining Cats and Dogs, I’m going to visit my local Bernina dealer who happens to be less than 5 minutes from my house and ask about renting out the Bernina longarm. I may take my practice pieces over there and practice on it a bit before actually loading Moon Glow.
On a happy grateful note – I’ve lost 9lbs! Woohoo!

I’m working on step 9 of Missing Ivy.
When these are put together, they will be the 8 setting triangles needed below.
I will still need to do the 4 corner triangles but I’m assuming that’s step 10. Then, it’s border time. I really love the colors and the way this quilt went together so far. If I focused on this quilt, it would have come together pretty quickly but I don’t work that way.

Happy Wednesday!

I finally did it. I took over the dining room. I did it to hang out with the kids and watch some Criminal Minds. But I ended up getting distracted, cut one thing wrong and then not doing as much as I normally do. So I don’t think I’ll be doing it again.

I’m working on Missing Ivy and I am reminded of the bright happy colors and the lovely fabric. It’s good to work on something different for a change. I’ll get back to Celtic Solstice when I’m in the mood for it. 😊
